First I’d to say that yes it is a clean campground… and beautiful…

.

My issue was that the Monday morning when we were going to leave an outrageous situation occurred.

There was a dump truck and digger dropping tons of rocks and placing them near the Riverside in the campsite right next to us. Anywhere from 10 to 20 feet from where we were having breakfast - With my 9 and 11 year old kids.

You could definitely not want to be outside or eat there because it was so loud and and unhealthy with the dust…

How dangerous is this? Heavy machinery 10 to 20 feet from you dropping and dumping tons of rocks …

The KOA didn’t even prepare us that is was happening. I had to go to them and complain. The excuse for this by them was “they had things that they needed to get done that were scheduled.” And were the customer!!!

I have never written a bad review.. but if anybody’s going to stay at this KOA. Please make sure they are not doing any construction or field maintenance 10 or 20 feet from your site.…

As an aside…. After about an hour of going back-and-forth they decided to comp us for one night stay. But to be upfront, I would’ve rather have had the last morning with my kids near the River.

Schedule things at a different time. And certainly not when guests are within any distance of it being done!! It’s not acceptable.… unsafe, anything could’ve gone wrong.…
