The campground is a nice option for families and groups. There's great access to multiple waterfalls and the river through the camp. There is a lot of poison ivy on the banks so be aware to check if you get near plants on the banks. Some sites have many trees while others have pretty much none. Some sites also are far from parking and require you to walk in with your gear. It's a very short but unexpected walk if you're not expecting it. Overall this is a great campground if you're coming in from the south, or wanting to visit the nearby falls or Bryson City
