Honest/Factual Review from our perspective: (keep in mind it will differ for you depending on where you are parked and when. Understand that this is OUR experience.)

Stayed 1 month. April 25th-May21st= $2,300

Site C2.

Positives:

Beautiful surroundings. Had zero problems with the staff, and the landscaping is upkept very well. They pick up your trash (in a bag, set it in front of camper by street). We really appreciate their hard work.

Great concrete slab to park on. Nice picnic benches. Plenty of trash receptacles for pet waste and garbage.

Negatives:

The biggest issue we had was Dirty Dogs Roadhouse, the bar directly across the street. Obviously, depending on where you're parked and what day/time you're staying there, this is a huge problem or a very small one. I'll get into specifics later.

Standing water in front of our rv steps. No dog run (it says there's one, but there is not.) Hot tub is permanently shut down. Showers are questionable. We did not use the laundry room. Gym is tiny, not really a gym. Picnic benches are on a hill, makes it hard to sit in them without it starting to topple over.

Sites are close together.

Dirty Dogs Roadhouse Specifics according to our experience and time there:

The 1st two weeks were live concerts, extremely loud where we were. I mean, echoing throughout RV loud. When the thunderstorms hit, that's when they finally got quiet. Warm and sunny? Expect music to be playing. Various live concerts throughout the week= extremely loud. Worst on the weekends.

You will hear engines revving, a lot. Lots of respectful bikers, lots of disrespectful ones, too. (Some hotshot who think their car is the coolest also thoroughly enjoyed blasting their mufflers for the world to hear.)

For people who don't mind noise, this won't bother you. For those looking for peace and quiet, it's a major problem. There were 1 or 2 days when they did not play music during the week. They had many events while we were there.

We are quiet, private people. We wanted a peaceful/blissful mountain experience, and we are from out of state. We knew nothing about Colfax or the bar.

If not for the bar, we'd give it 5 stars due to our needs and positives.

(There were a few awesome bands. Just wish the bar was located elsewhere.)
