This campground is unique. It is a large property of mostly flat grassy open areas alongside a babbling creek and surrounded by forest. There are no campsite numbers, just a dozen or so picnic tables and fire rings well-spaced apart. We had reservations that we made online but there was no one in the office when we got there. Luckily there was just enough cell signal to reach the manager and he told us to camp anywhere we liked. We found a large space near the creek with a table and some shade. It was one of the prettiest campsites we've experienced in eight year of full-time RVing. It was Labor Day weekend and there was lots of space available and by Tuesday there were literally two RVs in the whole place.

The park is right on the Chief Ladiga bike trail, which connects to the Silver Comet Trail to make nearly 100 miles of paved bike path. This trail is the primary draw for the campground and makes this a wonderful spot for bikes. This park is a real gem for anyone who doesn't care about hook ups or amenities (there is a bath house which was reasonably clean, and a dump station)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not approach this campground from the west on County Road 94. There is a bridge permanently out about 2 miles west of the campground. Don't go this way unless you want to back out 1/3 mile down a narrow dirt road!
