We went this past Sunday 10/9/22 for a day picnic. There were only a few overnight campers and as far as I could tell, we were the only day use folks at the lake. The water was very low and it did not appear that there was lake access from any of the campsites. We only drove through the overnight area once so I could have been mistaken. It was a beautiful day, sunny and in the upper 60s but the flies were out in force. I've seen pictures of this lake in early summer and it appeared far more inviting than it did with the low water in October. We enjoyed our time as it was quiet and peaceful, but it wasn't as scenic as many other Montana lakes with vehicle access. That being said, I would still consider setting up camp there if the lake is at level. The fires this late summer did not appear to affect areas at or around the lake.
