This USDA/Forest Service campground is a few isolated miles back from freeway ... sections of the 'gravel road' may be a bit much for some car campers. We saw no people on the trip in from the highway, and the 1st section of the campground we saw was likewise empty. Primitive campsites looked nice and woodsy. However we did see a recently dead juvenile bear off to the side of the gravel road, being feasted on by 3 very large golden eagles on the way in, and by a whole bunch of vultures on the way out ... May want to pack some good Montana bear spray ...
