The road is dirt shortly off of the highway - needed to go slow to avoid potholes and larger rocks, but still made it in a minivan.
Only five or so campgrounds, but not many people are headed up that far so it was very quiet. We only saw one other camper during explorations. No issues with mosquitoes, the creek moves fast enough it is not a problem.
