This park in colville national forest can provide a nice hike for everybody not too far from town. There are multiple loops, ranging from one to five miles. There's also a connection to trail #142 if you're craving a longer hike. There is a large swath on the west side of the park that's been logged and driven through which is a big ugly bummer, and it is close to the highway, so if you're looking for deep woods solitude keep looking. This would be a nice place to bring kids or older family member's as it wasn't strenuous and trails were well marked, and you can have a nice lunch by the lake after! We went in late June and the water was wonderful! In the winter there's groomed cross country skiing trails and snow shoeing.
