(July 2022)Not your place if you can't handle bugs, no beach (there is a boat launch and dock enclosed by lily pads), silence, and not seeing other people. Campsites are spread out and the pit toilet was extremely clean. Each site has a nice table. Not many places to hike.
I didn't see really any signs of large wildlife. There were frogs but they were silent. Saw some rather large rabbits. I did not see any ranger, but they were not needed because everything was well maintained.
The road in is a bit primitive for a trailer, mainly due to a couple of tight corners, but I'm sure you could get in. A street car can make it easily. I loved the spot. It was extremely peaceful. The fire pits were deep, the stars were unbelievable, the lake was calm, and it was beautiful!
