Had a wonderful 3 day stay at Starvation in a spacious, well maintained first-come-first-serve/walk-up type campsite with a fire pit. Very quiet campsite with one pit bathroom, one water tap, one ADA camp spot. Roads in and out are primitive but smooth and well maintained. SO quiet at night aside from a few raccoon visitors and distant neighbor cows. Johan was a wonderfully friendly and helpful camp host (so was her lil’ dog Vivian). The lake is small but beautiful, with a small back-in boat launch entrance and a floating “T” shaped dock with some benches for sitting/fishing. We floated on the lake in tubes several times during our stay and enjoyed the company of the dragonflies, frogs, turtles and many birds. Water was green, kinda murky, but clean and not smelly. Highly recommend, very peaceful!
