In January this was a nice quiet campground in a beautiful setting. There are two loops. We were in site 12 which is in the loop with the picnic area and CCC structure. Turn left when entering the campground. Site 12 is near the bathroom and has the forest in back. Sites in this loop are easier to back into. The other loop is on a ridge and some of the parking sites are sloped and have steep drop offs (too perilous for us). Picnic tables and fire rings are up or down stairs at many sites. There is electricity and water at every site. One clean bathroom in each loop. We did not try the loop. This area has a 1 mile trail around the lake. There is also a much longer loop through the woods. The only trail map in the campground is in the picnic area. There is also a trailhead just before the entrance kiosk. Trails are well marked with maps at some intersections. Check the map to access the longer trail. This is a first come first serve campground with a host.
