This park does really have a ton to offer a family. The lady who was at the trading post right when you enter was incredibly helpful and kind. The gift shop has a lot of standard fare. As we walked out to explore on foot, we were immediately encountered a giant goat petting zoo. You could hear the goats from 150 yards and they were hilarious. There are tons of other animals there And we were told to talk to Walter.
There are tons of shady picnic areas and public common areas. The cabins and campgrounds look amazing with plenty of space so you are not right on top of each other. A true joy of a state park. Cannot wait to go back. Did not get a chance to look inside the cabins, but the camp spots looked great! Beautiful lake as well.
