The land and scenery is great, handfull of wild deer on the trail and primative sites.

Few racoons at night.

Not much to do unless you bring a boat/kayak.

Fishing pier is nice, really only good place to bank fish.

All the campsites have fresh water grass about 30ft from bank to deeper water,so hard to fish it.......but possible.

The problem is the other people.

But cant fault the campground for that.

There needs to be a rule,no atvs or golf carts allowed on the primative sites.

Rv campers ride the primative sites on golf carts, throw their empty beer cans and bottles, other trash in the trails.

Ive seen it,picked up some of it.

Sometimes Blasting their radios in the primative site trails till after dark.

We were in a burn ban,and from my primative campsite i could see 4 other primative sites, all had wood fueled fires once it got dark.

A group at a primative site across the water from me ran a generator from 6pm till 9 am the next morning to charge up 2 golf carts.theres signs stating no generators after 10pm.

It was a quite generator, didnt bother me.

So again....the people are the problem.disrespectfull, dont follow rules.

Not complaining about it,just stating what to expect.

My stay was nice and private, slept great,no visitors to my campsite.for the most part when someone sees your tent, they turn around and dont bother your site.

Its my favorite louisiana primative site.
