This was our first time at Love's RV Stop and although overall it was perfect for what we needed, there are a few things that could/need to be done to make it a place to recommend as a stopover. First, what are the names of these places!!! The site says Hoopups the building states RV Stop. when we booked the reservation we were unable to get the Good Sam discount that they advertise because their booking site does not have the option and no one at Love's knew anything about the RV Stop. The booking site has some issues the normal things you think they would need like length, slides etc. disappear and can not be filled out. So when you book you do not know if you're going to fit in the site it says are open. They claim all sites are 50 feet. In our opinion, they are not that big unless they want you to go onto the grass. Love's spent a ton of money on these pull-off campsites but I have to wonder if they would ask campers what they really wanted if it would have cost a ton less and been a better if not similar experience for a lot less a night $45. For example, they have a huge electronic gate that you must put a code in that they email you. That might seem nice but you can not put the code in from your truck because the camper will hit the post and you are way too close to make it through the gate. The gate does not go past the drive on the one side and you could fit a truck and trailer through by going over the sidewalk so it can not be for security. We had a man walking the campground in the morning trying to find out prices and he just walked around. The post with the code pad makes it tight to get through the gate and getting out is a mess because of the angle from the campground exit road and the gate. They have electrical meters at every site so they must envision this very differently than campers. I would think the vast majority would be quick stops and not long-term. They need to cut the grass. It appeared that it had not been touched all summer. The weeds were past your knees. It might be just me but pulling in late and walking around it get set up with weeds touching up my shorts makes me uncomfortable. Huge street lights. They installed huge street lights as you would at a gas station not necessary and in fact you have to pull all the blinds to get sleep. To park they designed the loops with back-ins on the outside and pull-throughs in the middle. When you enter to get to the back-ins on the far side you have to drive the entire campground to get to your site. A cut-through should have been put in. When exiting there is a sign that blocks your entire view of oncoming traffic. Campers already do not have the same gitty-up and now you have to guess and gun it. Great idea but they are spending money where it is not needed. The playground, basketball courts, and pickleball/tennis courts are great amenities as is the dog area. They went above and beyond in those areas. For us the up keep was our biggest disappointment.
