This is our first time visiting this KOA. They do have some really great amenities, but for being a holiday I did expect a little more. They do have golf cart rentals which is nice, however the price is not. The pool was gross, although .. they did say it was the last weekend it was open so maybe they slacked off on it knowing it would be closing. I didn’t allow my kids to swim. Some employees we interacted with were as kind or kinder than you could hope for and some were just not. I was in the RV parking at the front entrance.. neighbors weren’t great, parking spaces were basic just like an RV park, there wasn’t a shower room/ restroom close by which was a bummer. They offer wifi but it’s hot or miss. Which suprised me. There wasn’t anything that really stood out about our stay. My kids were hurt by other kids on the playground .. like a 100 pound 15 year old boy kicked my 60 pound 10 year old and really hurt her. The play grounds are nice. The jump thing is nice. However it mostly felt like an overpriced RV park. It is towards the end of the season and maybe that’s why we didn’t have a great time. It’s not a place that any of us are saying omg we can’t wait to go back.. but we will probably give it another try next summer when the kids would be able to enjoy the pool and lake. I would not stay in the rv park part again personally, however that’s because we just don’t like the vibe. People are grumpy around here.

After reading several reviews it actually seems that the pool has been pretty rough for a while, and the staff is typically rude aside from an older man .. which is probably the same man that was very kind to me. Any responses have all been very half hearted if any, and that’s all I’ll expect. Now that I know this experience is actually typical, we will likely not return. There are many great KOAs not too far away as well as other campground options with similar amenities for less. There is absolutely potential here, and it’s very sad that it’s not being capitalized on.

Do something to motivate your staff.. ultimately if they were treated great the park would probably be in better shape, and they wouldn’t come off as hating their jobs.
