The area itself was gorgeous. The park is clean and very well maintained. The nightly rates are affordable and worth it! You can buy firewood at the park entrance for $8 a bundle, as well as ice for $3 a bag. I don't suggest the ice tho, it is a tiny bag and the gas station a few miles down the road has huge bags for $5. Clean bathrooms! The campgrounds are perfect for a weekend away. We spent the weekend in one of the north slope spots and it was great. A lot of the camp sights are wheelchair friendly which is a bonus. We got a spot right next to a bath house and not only was it clean, the tp was thick! I also want to note that the park management and staff were so kind and helpful. Overall my family had a wonderful experience and we will FOR SURE be back again soon!!

*Important note*

There was poison ivy EVERYWHERE around our camping spot. So if you're even remotely allergic or reactive to it, make sure you check your surroundings or ask for a site that has less wodded area.
