This is a beautiful location with a nice clean lake. It's far enough away to forget about life, yet close enough to get to easily. Great spot to explore hike or just sit quietly. There's a huge dam with overflow to the creek. There's an amazing little spring blocked off near the bottom parking area. There's a decently long hiking trail through the area
There's free camping here with a few sites obvious. Room at the bottom turn around for a large rig like a bus or RV. There was a large rut crossing the road when I got there stopping most of the traffic from going all the way down. I spent probably 3 hrs hauling large rocks and gravel from the pile nearby to fill it in so even the cars could continue past that point.
I also had to pull a bus out of the mud that decided they were gonna back off the gravel into the grass at the bottom turnaround. A lovely traveling family escaping bad rent conditions. Hope your life quality improves if you ever read this.
