Love this campground! Super simple to get in and setup. They tend to get busy during check in (3:30) but they move quick to get everyone their info. They have 30 amp service at a bunch of the sites, but no water or sewer hookups. They do have water stations to fill your camper and two dump stations. I stayed at site 103 and the only reason this is 4 stars is how unlevel the ground was… Pretty common in these state parks, so just be sure to bring enough leveling blocks. This is a state park, which in Illinois means no Alcohol and you will see rangers driving through to ensure that people are not being crazy. They have a nice shower house with ample facilities. Keep in mind that they do also have quite a few pit toilets around the park and the hiking paths. They have a nice store with a place to rent boats (kayaks and canoes) so plan on spending some time on and near the water. They also have a nice dock for those of you that want to do some late night fishing! Stay here you won’t regret it!
