New FEMA park after Hurricane Ida
At the time I was there there was no mail delivery or mail boxes. Unable to reach anyone for propane refills that we were instructed to have filled on site. The gate at the single road, one way in, one way out entrence stayed open but could be easily closed and locked... I was quite uncomfortable with that. We were so grateful to be out of the hotel it might as well have been heaven.
It was clean, decently spaced, tall chain link on all sides, mostly quiet. There was a small coin laundry with a couch open 24 hours but I hadn't used it. Aside from having our gas siphoned twice and keys disappeared from the vehicle seat during a quick minute run back inside the trailer it was just so wonderful that the person who owned that property opened it up for people who lost everything. Nothing but gratitude and love. Great neighbors upfront between the highway and the gate!! Some really great folks.
