Definitely a must-see!! There is good parking and handicap accessible. Restrooms are available with paved walkways. The first part of the trail is well paced and easily walking to the overlook. As the trail continues it is lightly rolling to flat, so tennis shoes are good footwear.
As the trail ends at the end there is a flat outcropping of rock mountaintop that offers a panoramic view of the valley for miles. Or, hike down The Great Stone Door, and rock stairway leading between massive rocks that split apart and will lower you into the forest canopy.
Allow about 45 minutes each way in and out.
Enjoy nature and this Tennessee jewel with your family this year.
