Having had a house fire and losing almost everything we were forced to live the winter through in a tent. This campground is located just by the exit on the Interstate so all night long you're awakened by the sound of semi-trucks slowing down with their Jake brakes. Having two bath houses, there is a definite lack of toilet paper but that's certainly offset by the green and growing mold on the shower mats in every single shower. When management was asked about it we were told that the mats were pressure washed; probably in the spring because they certainly were not from November through February. Nepotism abounds with one of the other "tent dwellers" being related and allowed to swipe food from your coolers so if you stay there keep your food locked up. As for pricing it changes weekly with the temperament of whoever is working in the office and what might be said to me would be contradicted when my wife spoke to them. Also, beware of attempted extortion. We paid on average $140 per week. I was told that after the first week in March, we would have to leave for a set number of days and then return. When my wife went to the office she was told that we would have to leave by the third. Having already paid through the 19th of February, when I asked how much they wanted for the last week and 3 days we were planning on staying, I was told an amount that equalled two weeks payment! Which meant that the final 3 days would cost as much as an entire week. It is my personal belief that this attitude is the result of them discovering that I am 50% Native American and a disabled Vietnam veteran. Everytime I would enter the office when this one lady who looked like an albino crow was working her husband would drop whatever he was doing and rush in as though to prevent something.

If you're stuck and can't get to anywhere else or can't afford anything else, it's an excellent way to get overcharged for overrated amenities and services. I am extremely happy that we're no longer there.
