WARNING RV campers. The road from Burkseville to the park is very narrow, absolutely no shoulder and has a lot of elevation changes. If you aren't a skilled RV driver I don't recommend trying to get to this park. The campground was very clean. However the RV driveways are relatively short. We have a 37 foot travel trailer and hung over the backside several feet in order to not have our hitch in the roadway. There isn't much shade at any of the campsites. You have to drive to the lodge, Cindy's cave and the marina. There is only one trail .2 miles long that can be accessed from the campground. Also, there is no way to get to the lake from the campground to fish; the lake is several hundreds of feet below the campground and lodge.
