A restful campground, tall pine trees around campsites on a steep hill, RV barely made it into the site. Lots of deer and armadillos. No official swimming area, but a small cove protects from some of the boat traffic. Starkey Marina close by for Hunt pizza and other traditional needs, including boat slips
-2021 update-
We continue to call this area our favorite. If possible, we try to be here and on the water July 4 for the fireworks at Lost Bridge Village. This year didn't disappoint! We brought a different rv, and stayed in #7- the full hookup sites are #1-7.The campground was quiet as usual- we're already planning for next year's trip!
(2023 update). We are back, with yet a different rv, site 7 has voltage problems (30A, no 50A), so our “Watchdog” power box for our class A keeps switching back and forth from running on the inverter to shore power, can only run 1 a/c- this is our only complaint- most sites are full (July 4 weekend) but quiet. Great fireworks show again (actually 2, one on the 1st and a second on the 2nd), with over 100 boats on the water to watch. Our grandkids didn’t want to leave (or us, either). We’ll be back- Oh, the eagle sitting next to it’s nest was fun to watch!
