We camped here for the first time and really liked it. The park is kept clean and while some of the sites are not very level, they are nice with tables, fire rings, and many have lantern hangars. The only downside is that some of the full hookups are not on the best side for your RV/camper. We had to put the electric, water, and sewer under the camper so that the door faced the table, but were able to make it work. The only downside to the electric sites is that you may have to travel or walk a long ways for water. You would think that they would have better access to fresh water. Some sites are close, but of course those are the first to go.

There is a lot of wildlife in the area, and the deer visited every evening. We did not have any troubles with racoons or anything else. Plenty of birds and squirrels and bunnies to be seen. Be aware if you plan on kayaking there is no easy way to put the kayaks in. There is a lot of rocks, but we made it work and actually locked our kayaks down with some people that we met close to the lake to save us from pulling them up the hill on the dolly or driving up and down the hill all the time. Great way to lose weight! The gentleman at the gate was nice and made checking in easy. The campground is beautiful and peaceful and the lake is crystal clear and perfect for you swimming and boating needs! The closest place for ice is the marina which is about a mile away, but of course they charge more for it. We recommend the campground and will be back.
