Beautiful nature spot! Seems well respected, much less litter than other sites I've been to. Showed up on a Saturday and had no trouble finding an open spot. The campsites are little more than turnouts off the dirt road, but there are pit toilets that are clean and stocked.
Like others have said, it is right off the 78, so you can still hear the traffic in the distance, but it's easy access and free. Pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded and stayed pretty quiet. The sand is pretty thick in places, so take care where you pull off and don't get stuck. I had no problems in my van, and had a wonderful time hiking and watching the wildlife. Will come here again
