We are so grateful for the care and compassion with which you've cared for my mom - Therese T..
I wish we could say we were prepared for this journey and chose your facility from the beginning, but we weren't. When my 7 siblings and I were at our wits end, a beloved relative guided us to Lakeside Manor.
Mom's physical and mental health were challenging at best, but together with a new medical team and your remarkably compassionate, professional associates she has actually improved both mentally and physically at your exceptional facility. With her physical pain under control, your home-like atmosphere and family-style care have revived some of mom's naturally gregarious, happy personality. It's so nice to receive reports from local family members of mom laughing and joking again. Her happiness and laughter isn't always rooted in current reality, but the foundation and heart of the mom we've known for decades is clear to those of us who knew her best.
Further, since we live in Texas and cannot visit personally, your exceptional staff is our direct link to mom and her daily condition. Without exception, every phone call and question is met with patience and professionalism by your staff, and punctuated with honest compassion for mom. Every person at your facility showed a clear understanding and empathy for my frustration of being her "baby boy" living so far away.
What I was fearing was going to be just a long, slow, sad good-bye, has evolved into an opportunity for family and friends to garner a few more meaningful memories of mom before she makes her final journey.
I am --- we are --- truly grateful for all you've done for mom, and all of us eight kids in making her sunset time with you as bright and comfortable as possible. Blessings to you, and each and every one of your caring associates.
Sincerely,
Jim T.
