We recently stayed at Wheelers Gorge, camp site 6. When we arrived we were greeted by the hosts Bob, Becky and Emily. They informed us of camp ground rules, which was mainly for loud noise after 10pm and then directed us to our site.
Throughout our multi day stay, we noticed them patrolling and clean the campground which accounted for the pristine condition. Even let our girls have a frisbee to play with and let us know the cool sites to check out.
Around the time we were there it was almost Halloween and they had beautiful lights lighting up the very cozy host area. They let us know to come back down later in the night and they’ll keep the lights on so the girls could see the display, which was very nice of them. Can’t forget Murphy and Koa! The sweetest dog and cat, who our girls absolutely loved playing with.
The creek was running and we got to see a beautiful place that we’ll no doubt be returning to. We can’t say enough good things about the hosts and the great time we had. They treated us like friends and by the time we left it felt like we were family.
