This is such a wonderful property location but unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with the service. We stayed at the Ranch at Oasis and had multiple problems. First, the restaurant at the Ranch lost our dinner reservation that was made in advance for New Years' Eve. This was a huge problem, because the Oasis is the only option in Death Valley and we were left with no place to eat dinner. Even worse, the staff at the Ranch were completely unhelpful. The restaurant refused to accommodate even a take out order to take back to our room, leaving us with zero options for dinner. The staff were were both unconcerned and rude about the missing reservation. We were lucky that the restaurant at the other property, the Inn, made every effort to accommodate us and we were able to eat dinner there. The pool at the Ranch property is amazing and spring-fed so very warm water. Unfortunately, there were no towels at the pool and when we used our room towels and called to request replacement towels for the bathroom, nothing was done. Finally, our toilet stopped working that evening and multiple calls to the front desk for assistance led to zero help. We might have been camping, except for the price. The food at the buffet was sub-par and that is being generous, with terrible service there too. Half the buffet items were out and no one was to be found on site that was monitoring the situation. Sadly, we would not recommend the Oasis (Ranch) at all. The Inn might be a better bet. Seemed like the service there was a lot better, at least at the restaurant. Also, I did email the manager and no one ever responded, further demonstrating the low standard for service at the Ranch.
