I drove along the scenic river Kern about 30 miles, but an absolute highlight with a lot photostops to the forest. The park itself has an point where around 100 huge sequoia trees are. You hike there a small path, which is around 2km long and take about 2-3 hours, when you read also the signs. There is a shop at parking area. All in all a small park, but together with the river very nice.
Unfortunately are a lot trees along the way burned by huge fires 2 years ago. This I want only to mention.
