This park is gorgeous. Although it's well off the beaten path, it is absolutely worth the drive. Definitely make sure to get gas before you hit some of the smaller roads, though, as you don't have too many options the closer you get to the park (coming from Virginia). At the park itself, there are plenty of things to do and see. The main attraction is probably the gorge overlook, which is a fairly short but slightly hilly walk from the restaurant. There are plenty of other hiking trails, though, ranging from mild to strenuous. Other amenities included ziplining, a pool/waterpark area, picnic tables, and places to stay--hotel and camping spots. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We especially enjoyed lunch at the restaurant which overlooked the gorge as well. Our meal was excellent and moderately priced, with plenty to choose from on the menu. We had great service, as well. There is also a gift shop and an accessible restroom attached to the restaurant, which was very convenient.
