A small, 30+ site BLM campground in the Big South Fork NRRA in the Daniel Boone National Forest. It has an outdoor kitchen for camper cleanup use, flush toilets, showers. Sites have water and 30 amp electricity. The small size and remote location make it ideal. Was here 2nd week of August and on a Wednesday only six sites had campers. The campground filled up for the weekend then most left. The location in southeast KY is terrific as a base for exploring the many trails, overlooks, waterfalls in the area. A Kroger grocery store is 10 miles north. If you're curious, yes, I did change campsites during the stay. And yes, that is a real black bear at my campsite. Warnings are posted and rangers patrol regularly hoping to scare it away. And that's a stick bug that dropped from a tree onto my shoulder.
