As a visitor to the US one of my bucket list things to see was the giant Sequoia trees in California. I was fortunate enough to visit the South Grove in Fall - truly spectacular! We did the 5.6 mile loop and spent several hours hiking and enjoying the majesty of the Redwoods and the beautiful orange, yellow, red foliage of the Dogwood trees. We saw many different types of fungi along the trail as well. Don't be put off by the distance around the loop - it really is worth doing the walk.
