Highly recommend!! Especially after seeing how crowded the Furnace Creek area campsites are (looks like a parking lot). We preferred to camp somewhere more beautiful and just drive in to see the tourist sites, and I’m sooooo glad we made that decision. We got there very early on the Friday morning before President’s Day weekend to scope out good sites. We have a camper van with solar, so we took spot 25 — 24 and 25 are “RV only” — and it was on the edge of the desert and felt pretty private. Such a great time. Amazing fire pit, and we even had a charcoal grill at the site, which was unexpected! No electricity here, but there is great drinking water on the way into the campground, flush toilets, and a dish washing station. It’s a great combo of some amenities and nature. Host was super friendly. We stayed for 4 nights, and one afternoon/evening was too windy to hang out outside the van. The rest of the time was amazing. Go to Ubehebe crater. It’s majestic. Would definitely come back!!
