Although the High Sierra camp facilities were all closed by early October, this was still a great spot. Backpackers campground only had one additional group. Several nice flat camping spots with rocks or logs to sit on. Very tame dear were around the lake. Amazing hike following the lake on the way to Little Yosemite Valley.
