We have stayed at Betabel multiple times over the past two years. It’s a nice park, well-maintained, and friendly staff. When we checked in a few weeks ago, they still had all our information, including our Good Sam discount, on file, and we confirmed it on the telephone during the reservation. We checked in this past week, after making the same reservation procedure, but later noticed the bill did not include the Good Sam discount.
Their only response was, “Sorry, you’re responsible to notify us at the time of “check-in” that you have any discounts. It is posted several places.”
I could see if we discovered it after we had checked out and closed out the account. However, we’re mid-stay this week, and brought it to their attention. Despite that, Pam declined to honor the discount, even though we discussed it on the phone during the reservation process.
FYI to Travelers, make sure you present your Good Sam credentials every time when checking in. We did not “present” our discount on the prior occasions, but beware.
