Nice place, lots of electrical problems throughout the park but there is still more than enough spots to accommodate.
It's hard to tell where the roads are if you are coming in late, so try to arrive before sundown.
While we were there, an RV hit the water pipe two sites down around 8pm. Maintenance had someone out by 8am the next day to fix it.
There is plenty of deer lingering everywhere as well.
For amenities like groceries, the city of Hollister is about 30mins north.
If you are looking for a getaway, this is a great place.
WARNING: Do not come into the park from I-5 through Panoche Rd if you have a big rig. County Road J-1 is treacherous and full of low trees and pot holes. Took super slow speeds and manuvering to get my rig through the 25miles of potholes.
Also, I don't recommend heading South on California HWY 25, while towing, from where you turn into the park. Pinnacles NP is in that direction, but it gets super tight about 10-15 miles in. No Gas/Diesel available in that direction either. Fill up before checking out Pinnacles.
