This was our favorite campground but didn't have a favorable experience last time. The first time we stayed here last summer the WiFi was fantastic. Superfast and reliable. That's important to us because we're digital nomads.
This last time the WiFi went out on us after our first week in the park so we talked to (whom I think was) the manager and she told us one or two towers needed rebooting and told us she would send someone out.
Four hours (not a typo!) later no one came out.
We drove back up to the store/office and asked again and we were told there was nothing they could do about it that they had no access to the internet "stuff" and that was all handled through the home office. They couldn't contact FastWave (the WiFi provider) either..that's all handled by people "much higher up in the organization."
Nobody ever helped--ever. No one came out despite the manager's promise. No one ever contacted us at all.
We were forced to move to a new campsite. We hooked up to the WiFi there and it was unusably slow. Ping times over 3 seconds, around 15% dropped packets despite having a 5 bar (excellent) connection to the WiFi tower. You can't advertise yourself as a place for digital nomads if your wifi isn't even suitable for reading emails...much less streaming zoom meetings.
I'll never forget the attitude of the manager. She seemed almost petrified that something I would say would cause her to have to exert effort. I asked her a few questions about the internet service in general and she gave off this irritated impression/vibe that I hope the people "much higher up in the organization" are aware of because it doesn't help the TT brand.
The other employees I talked to were all awesome. Their excellent work and and attitude were really diminished by the manager's lack of effort.
