I went there in September. This is a great campsite where you can enjoy the river in a wonderful landscape. The river that runs right beside the campground is crystal clear and shallow, and you can see Lembert Dome well. If you have the stamina, you can climb to the top of the Lembert Dome for a spectacular view. In September, it was chilly even in the daytime and quite cold at night, so an RV is comfortable. The grasslands were turning into dry grass, so if you want to see green, it is better to go there earlier.
