I really enjoyed the primitive campground. At first I was a little skeptical because I'm used to a different set up. It's in a pine forest on a bed of pine needles. However, it was really a very wonderful weekend and the other campers were great too. I like the fact that you are near some really nice hiking trails and there is a beach and a boat ramp right there. There are trash cans very easily accessible to every site as well as water spigots. I was impressed with the actual layout overall. The little park office has lots of goodies if you need them. Just make sure you know what time the park office closes so you don't find yourself wishing you had firewood. We got there early enough so we were able to get firewood and everything was very nice. We hiked the 2 mile loop to the waterfall. I highly recommend it. It was quite beautiful. If you are into a much longer hike, the option is available too.
