Stayed here for two months and have mostly nice things to say. One of the best options in the Bay Area.
Pros:
•Almost always quiet. This is huge for us. We found it to be very peaceful and safe.
•Pet friendly (but check the cons)
•Very accommodating
•Sarah & Jessica in the front office we’re always very helpful and welcoming
•Very clean restrooms
•Laundry on site and all in working order
•30 min to Golden Gate
•Minutes away from hiking trails
•Sites are close but still roomier than most in the Bay Area. We still felt a sense of privacy unlike other parks.
•Sprayed for bugs
•Deli on site
•Full hookup 30/50 amp
•Decent water pressure
•Dumpsters were well maintained
•Ample parking for two cars at most sites
•Big rig friendly. We stayed with a 43’ fifth wheel with 4 slides.
•Within 10 minutes of everything! Grocery shopping, downtown, dining, hiking, etc etc
Cons:
•Although pet friendly, there’s no great spot to walk/let dogs relieve themselves. The dog area is very dry/unmaintained. I think maybe during a different part of the year it may be greener but we avoided it because it was basically just dust.
-There’s also no designated trash cans for pet waste. They do offer bags but people just throw their bags on the floor because they don’t want to walk to the regular dumpsters/trash cans in front of the deli. OR they don’t pick up after their pets at all. Poop was always left all over the outside of the park.
•Some people had pet fences up at their site and just allowed their dogs to pee/poop directly on the rocks which could smell pretty bad if not properly maintained.
•It’s easy to spot the long term sites— they can look a little run down & keep a lot of belongings outside their rigs.
All in all I recommend this park. It’s mostly well maintained & I’d say one of the biggest improvements they could make is to add pet waste trash cans around the park.
Otherwise we enjoyed our time there & are very grateful for them accommodating us.
