I went there recently for my first trip to California and the location was beautiful. The lake was nice and fresh during the hot afternoons and you can see so many stars at night on the dock. I saw a couple shooting stars for the first time and actually cried. 😠However, one thing I didn't like was how crowded it was. It seems like they try to stuff as many people as they can into the property when there really isn't that much space. It would've been an even better experience if there wasn't as many people there. The parking spaces should be further apart from one another, imo but other than that, it was a nice experience.
