Very nice and scenic view from the top on the summit. Very informative and educational exhibit with movie on Mt. Diablo’s history as well. The road leading to the summit had no guardrails all the way up and is as well maintained as it can be due to the environment it’s in. The road is slightly narrow so as long as you follow suggested speeds and yield to bikers you will be fine. I would not recommend for new drivers or drivers with no experience on roads like this. There are adequate restrooms and water fountains on the top and good parking.
