Be aware, Highway 1 from Leggett to Fort Bragg is NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY. A large sign at the beginning says no rigs longer than 40 feet. I would recommend no longer than 30 feet because of some hair pin curves.
The park is located in the city of Fort Bragg. We chose it for it’s location and views of the ocean which were amazing.. There is pavement all the way until you are in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in did not exist. We arrived mid week at 3:15 PM. The office closes at 3:00PM. There were directions showing available sites and to fill out an envelope include payment. We arrived during poring rain. The Campground Map is poor and the sites not well marked. We chose an empty site that was gravel based and not a grass mud pit. Fortunately it was available. The interior roads are sparse gravel and not in great shape. We never received any contact what so ever from the park operators. Our VISA payment was processed early the next morning. We were never give a wifi code or even a thanks for coming.
Our site, 31, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is poor even for an urban park. NO sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. There were NO Tables or Fire Pits which made swnse because there was NO ROOM to put them there.. Overall, it appears that the park was an afterthought because space was available after the mobile home park was filled.
There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did find a cable connection but no channels were found. There were a few OTA channel but no major networks. Satellite would not be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers nor could we check them as we were never given any codes.
Part of our wanting to visit the Fort Bragg area is because of the world famous Glass Beach. Be aware that it has been picked pretty clean. One almost needs tweezers to pick up any of the remaining sea glass.
Needless to say we were pretty disappointed with the whole Fort Bragg experience except for the Noyo River Grill that is next door the the RV Park. We had a delicious meal that was reasonably priced and the service was excellent/
We paid $48.00 per night and feel we had probably the worst stay in all of our years RVing. We will never be back
