We enjoyed our two-night stay, we planned to stay 1 more night but we were literally devoured by mosquitoes like never before, despite repellent, so we left. Most people during our stay camped for 1 night.

Sagehen creek is very close to the campsite (convenient to get some water), and the meadows are mostly marshland, that's why there were a lot of mosquitoes. The place is very beautiful and so peaceful! At night you're rocked by the sound of the creek and in the morning the singing birds wake you up. Thank goodness NO noisy generators!!!

The campsites are very large and you're not on top of the other campers. There are just 10 spots, on July 4 3 spots were occupied and the next night, 5 spots.

It's a dispersed campground so it's free, but each site has a picnic table and a fire pit, plus there's a pit restroom ( no need to dig a hole ;) )

The road to get there is a bit rough at some points, 4 WD is necessary!

We saw a coyote on the road and my son saw a black bear in the meadow 30 yards from our tent.
