Never met a more rude set of people that run an outdoor facility. If there was a way to give less than a star it would happen. I think a lot of it had to do with us two couples wearing dirtbike gear. We walked our dirtbikes onto the property being respectful looking to eat our lunch near the lake on the picnic tables. Payed our 20$ for the 4 of us for day use.. (nuts to just have lunch on the water for maybe an hour..but it was my birthday) then were told we couldn’t eat there by the other older lady and we would have to go to the other side of the lake. Mind you we were literally the only people in the entire campground on a Friday???
We decided we didn’t want to give them any business on account of the pure rudeness. Asked for our $ back and we walked our dirtbikes back out of the property. What’s really strange is this little lake is literally surrounded by dirtbike trails. Soo many a major trailhead ends right at the entry to the property. Rumor has always been the people there have hate for anything dirtbikes. I guess it’s no longer a rumor for us…
Save yourself the hassle, Sugarpine Res. is only a few minutes away without the ugly attitudes and clearly unhappy people that "caretake".
