Great campground nestled under big trees, within a short walk from Lake Tahoe's shore.
We stayed on sites 39 and 41 and loved it. Spacious sites with good level ground. 39 has more privacy as 41 has someone's porch looking into it.
Lots and lots of bear activity. I saw a sizeable black bear twice from a short distance. When we went to bed the bear was snooping around and made a lot of noise trying to open the bear box. Dogs were distressed and were making loud crying sounds until early morning. Very little sleep but lots of excitement...
To avoid bears stay closer to the host who is at site 3.
