You don't need a reservation here. It's located at very high altitude and very close to the old ski bowl trailhead, so if you are planning to hike Mt Shasta early morning next day, this is a great place to camp at night. There are no restrooms, fire pits, or any other amenities. If you drive about 0.5 mile down hill, you will find restrooms near Bunny Flat Trailhead. You have to park your car on the common parking space which is pretty huge. If you haven't reserved any site, this is your camp-at place.
