Ring Lake Ranch is a stunningly beautiful place and spiritually transformational experience. I visited for the week before Labor Day 2022, for the program "Horses as a Doorway to the Sacred." This was my third time at RLR, and I will periodically visit as long as I am able throughout my life. The guests and staff are wonderful, kind, and all share in thought- provoking conversation and learning. The wranglers are patient and attentive, and the horses are very well trained, energetic, and take you on adventures to high vistas and intimate landscapes. My relationships with horses and riding ability moved to a new level. The lake is gorgeous and refreshing for kayaking, canoeing, and even swimming if the weather is warm enough. The naturalist-guided hikes will help you bond with this special place. And the petroglyphs! They are right there, full of mystery and power. The food is always excellent, varied and healthy, they work with good nature to meet special diet needs, and it is fun to be part of a crew that helps clean up after some of the meals. The daily spiritual framing led by Andy Blackmun, the Ranch's Director, invites all and is a special gift to center you in the place and your intentions to grow and rest.
