Update: Went from 3 stars to 5 we received an email informing us that they were filling the reservoir again. We decided to give it a second chance and we stayed at Sandy Point. If you haven't been here it is worth the trip we came up from Cheyenne, WY, so not to long of a drive. If you have time check out the Meseum and the Castle all displays and structures are original and date back to the 1930's. The staff was very knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. Really happy we gave them a second chance.

Original review: This park has great potential however, they drain the reservoir in the middle of the summer, the 3 star rating is for the gorgeous sunsets which get a 5 star on its own, they were absolutely breath taking. I will however saw there was some water we were able to get into at Gray Rocks Reservoir. I also wish I knew that train tracks ran right next to the campsite. Other than that they did have neat and well kept campsite I just wish they had water to cool off, we had to drive 30 minutes to go to Gray Rocks
