Let me start off by saying that they state they are pet friendly. Animals are not permitted on the furniture which I understand as some animals may damage the furniture, fine, but lodging offered me the worlds crustiest leather couch known to man which I will include a picture of with my review. How my animals could have damaged it even more, I have no clue. They did provide an extra large cage to lock my animals up when we left the building but after a 1200 mile trip, it should be understandable that my furry friends would be nervous any time that we would exit the building without them.

We had stepped out to grab dinner our first night we arrived. We arrived at the lodge late on a Sunday, most places were closed. We were not gone for more than a hour when we received a call of a complaint stating that our dog had been barking for a couple hours now. I know it was our neighbors who had complained but we didn't call to complain when their child was screaming and crying at the top of their lungs or their dog was barking or growling all day or my favorite instance when the female occupant was outside screaming during their argument at 10pm that Sunday night but god forbid my nervous dog bark while we quick as possible go get dinner to return to take care of him.

Anyway. The rooms were ok. Beds were comfortable. Soft, clean and warm sheets and blanket. Theres no air conditioning. I did however appreciate the broken air conditioning unit in the master bedroom as decor, that was cute. We could not open the closet in the spare bedroom as there was a bed blocking it and there was a knob missing off the door. There was a bible in the master bedroom end table which I did use because I needed HIM to get me through the two days I was going to be staying at this lodge.

The bathroom was very clean. The shower was kind of small. Not really any room to put your hygiene products inside the shower.

There was animal fur inside one of the kitchen cabinets which I found odd. What was nice though is that the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, spoons, forks etc. The kitchen was clean.

Big living and dining area. There were tower fans provided for air circulation which were appreciated during the day.

Playground out front was nice. Not too busy during the day. I wish there were more of a grassy area for pets to use the bathroom.

I heard lodging was closing in September 2022 and I just laughed understanding why. This is my first PCS and lodging did NOT make me feel welcomed at all. I expected better. So so so much better.
